During the 7 years of living in China, she worked for a major Japanese electronics company as a Sales planner, managing sales revenue and the company’s promotions and exhibitions. Around the same time, she started her career as a Japanese voice talent for audio guides, commercials and educational materials.
In 2012, she moved to Singapore with her Canadian husband.
In 2014, she set up her own company Aspect Events.
She has worked with several international major clients and Japanese clients, corporates and governments mainly in the South East Asia.
As a Japanese English event host, she hosts a wide variety of clients' events such as formal dinners and conferences, product launch events, weddings and Japanese cultural events.
An experienced multilingual communicator and NLP Master Practitioner and Coach, Mayumi helps clients convey their messages to their audiences using her diverse experiences from the countries she has lived and worked in.

She likes creating fun and memorable environments for people.
At the same time, she is a multi-tasker and highly professional. She is capable of handling many difficult situations in an international and multicultural business environment by using her experience and common sense.
She is an excellent communicator.
She always presents herself in line with the image her client needs which in turn makes them feel very comfortable assigning her for any important event. Her clients truly trust her quick thinking and her knowledge of various cultural differences particularly of Japanese, Chinese, Asian Muslim, and Westerners. She is able to represent her clients reputation and in content and appearance as well as to deliver their messages clearly and with impact.
As a certified NLP Master Practitioner and Coach, she conducts NLP Global Communication workshops for SME companies.
She also coaches Japanese pageants with their public speeches and she successfully led two Singapore -based Japanese pageants to win the title of Mrs. Singapore Globe 2019 and Mrs. Singapore Global Universe 2020 respectively.
She continues learning.
She's currently learning Spanish as the 4th language while she continues maintaining her 3rd language which is Mandarin.
Her Spanish is now at primary conversational level but she thrives to achieve an advance level in the next few years.
In 2019, she took KeyNote speaker's training course conducted by Prime Time to become a Keynote speaker.
She also takes lessons to learn how to dress herself Kimono (the traditional costume of Japan) to meet clients' special attire request for Japanese related ceremonies and events with no additional cost.
In 2020, after 4 months of intensive training by All in The Mind (Singapore) , she became a certified NLP Master Practitioner and Coach.
She cares.
She's very social and genuinely enjoys connecting people as well.
She's currently managing 2 communities which she founded.

TSUBAKI - A social group in Singapore of over 300 female members, which aims to support Singapore based Japanese women in international marriages, through social events and seminars that both members and their families can enjoy. The group's activities are often picked up by local magazines and Japanese TV shows.

FLOW Japan - Fulfilling Lives of Women(FLOW) is a platform for childless women both by choice and not by choice to find their peers and role models by sharing their life stories and feelings through interviews for her Podcast channel and social media. As a certified NLP coach, she now helps navigate life of women and married couples in midst of / after infertility journey.
In her private life, she loves cooking, organizing parties, exercising, photography and traveling.
